I will try to kill your product idea in 48 hours ($99, first 5)

I spent a night trying to find a passive-income product that was not already owned. Almost everything died: trade SaaS, Chrome/Shopify/Slack apps, public-data APIs, $29 freelancer tools. The leftover skill was the kill itself.

So that is the offer.

Send one idea. In 48 hours you get a written autopsy: KEEP / KILL / PIVOT, a table of live competitors with URLs and prices, and the one remaining gap if there is one. No call. No "talk to 10 customers" homework.

Sample (a Chrome invoice-to-CSV extension): KILL. Table OCR already has 10k users doing the job for free. Dedicated invoice extensions have 12-51 users.

First 5 at $99, then it goes to $149.

If this post gets "I can do this in ChatGPT" and zero buyers in a week, I will kill the service too.

The interesting part is whether the autopsy can distinguish “this already exists” from “there’s no viable room left.”

Those sound similar on the surface, but they can lead to very different decisions.

Yeah that's the split I actually try to make. "Already exists" is usually a pivot or a thinner slice. "No room left" is a kill even if Google is empty, because empty can just mean nobody's looking. Those get different writeups, not the same dead stamp.

That distinction is interesting. It makes the autopsy more useful than simply labeling an idea as “dead” or “competitive.”
