I would really appreciate some feedback on my site

Hi everyone!

I found out about this awesome group today via a post on Reddit titled "5 Tactical tips to improve your landing page conversion"

As I am in the process of re-evaluating the flow of my homepage due to a low conversion rate, this seemed like an opportunity too good to miss!

Thanks so much!

    Two very obvious things:

    1. Way too many words and sectiions. Nobody will read all this. Cut content down to something people can scan in 30 seconds or less.
    2. Add a CTA on the hero section. What do you want people to do after reading your page? Add a button for that that is clearly visible

I can't read the text on the video because the headline + subheadline are blocking it. The video itself is great.

I do like the "as seen on" section, it gives social proof almost immediately.

For the icons section right after the hero section, the icons + headlines should be bigger. There's not enough contrast there.

If you're going to have a lot of text, centre alignment generally doesn't work that well. The pictures are good though.

Having a picture right on top of another (essentials box picture + discovery box picture) looks a little weird. Would recommend adding some padding or changing that section.

Thanks so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it!

Text on the video - I know! Unfortunately the theme I'm using doesn't allow me to remove the headline and subheadline when the video is playing.

How it works section - The icons are quite small. I can try to make them larger to increase the contrast. Thanks for the input!

Centre alignment - Yeah, I know what you mean but left alignment didn't look good either and in the end I settled on centre as I thought it looked slightly better on mobile.

Pictures on top of each other - I originally wanted the pictures to be alternating (image left, text right, followed by text left, image right), but this means on mobile you end up with the images back to back when scrolling down (text, image, image, text) which doesn't work either.

Adding some padding between them might look better though, thanks I'll try it.

Are you using some kind of wordpress theme? The pictures on top of each other on mobile can be solved if you make using Bootstrap.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my site and respond!

      1. I'm open to suggestions on how. I feel like there's a lot of important info that customers always want to know so it's ended up on the page to help answer their queries beforehand.

For example, one of the biggest barriers to getting people to sign up is their fear of the style of razor. Therefore there's a section on the benefits of switching to a single blade and also how easy it is.

Honestly, I was planning on adding sections rather than removing them, as there's still more benefits that could be included.

Is minimal content always the best way?

      1. I know. Unfortunately the theme I'm using doesn't allow for a button over the hero section if it's a video (but they do if I swap it to an image)
