I wrote up why Webflow copy-paste is still broken (and what I'm doing about it)

I keep explaining this in Reddit threads, so I finally wrote it down properly.

The short version: if you copy a Webflow component and paste it into a different workspace, it strips the component status, removes code components, renames classes, and drops color variables. Figma to Webflow is even worse — completely different formats, zero native bridge.

I documented the full breakdown here: https://pastable.app/why

Includes a comparison table of the current workarounds (Shared Libraries, manual rebuild, plugins, template sites) and what each one actually preserves.

Building Pastable to fix this — a desktop app that reads the native clipboard formats and makes components portable. Two weeks in, early alpha, 5 testers.

Curious if anyone else has hit this wall. What's your workaround?
