With the recent announcement of Tesla allowing existing owners to upgrade to autonomous capabilities for $6,000 IIRC, you would expect that all of the cars would need to be cleaned following their daily shifts, and this would be completed automatically.
Aside from charging points, this strikes me as one of the main infrastructural requirements prior to the full-release of autonomous personal vehicles in cities around the world.
Aside from actually cleaning the inside of the cars, there could also be other important processes taking place such as monitoring and reporting on damage to the interior that could otherwise be taken advantage of by owners.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this matter.
