Idea: Content Moderation Platform?

Hello everybody!

I've been thinking about an idea since a little while but never spent much time working on it. I was thinking of sharing it here to get some early-validation before jumping into it.

Is any of you facing any challenges with content moderation? I'd like to build a content moderation platform to help small online businesses to moderate the content generated by their users.

I know that big companies generally build their content moderation solution in-house and many enterprise are using existing platforms like Besedo. What about Indie Hackers and small businesses? Has any of you already ventured in this area or ever thought that might need the help of a content moderation platform?

Could you give some examples? I can't seem to grasp what you mean. What's the paint point and what's your proposed solution?

Absolutely. What I mean is building a SaaS platform specifically focused on Content Moderation.

      Pain points
When you have a service with user-generated content (e.g. a community with photos, a blog with comments, a marketplace with ads, etc...) you'll most probably need to moderate the content generated by the user before having it live online (i.e. to avoid bad pictures, keep quality high, avoid illegal content).

This could be done inside your same platform, but it might be costly to build, not flexible enough (especially at higher scale) and it would most probably outside of your main domain.

      Solution
An external SaaS where you send your data to moderate through an API, have an interface to check the content and approve/reject it. Finally you'd get the decision back to your platform.

I saw this issue when working for a large marketplace company. They had to build this moderation tool internally, so I was wondering if the same problem could be existing at a smaller scale and if a SaaS solution could be helpful.
