Idea discussion. Thoughts?

Hello everyone!

I know that an idea is just the 10% of a project, but I would love to discuss mine to see if it is worth pushing forward.

Basically I want to develop an app with a feed similar to Instagram, but you can only see posts near your position, the nearness is decided by tue user. You can also filter by topic. The idea is that you see what’s up around you and engage with other people in different activities.
I think it is useful for exploring surroundings and meet new people with same interests.

To me the main struggle of dating apps is that users need to “convince” others that they are interesting people, in my mind this would solve this problem.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
