IDEA: Email leads tracking - is this useful?

Hey!

I'm looking to build a SAAS as a side project. I'm tinkering with some ideas, but the one I'm most excited about is this email lead tracker.

I've build this as a custom feature for the company I currently work at.

The idea is that the marketing team has email leads coming from multiple sources: Hubspot, Mailchimp, etc. This app would aggregate all the emails gathered in a set time period and display them in a list, listing the source (software and email list), signup date and time, etc.

For the marketeers in IndieHackers: is this something you would be interested in? Does it sound useful?

Our internal marketing team loves it! But I wonder if other teams have the same problem. Before this feature they had to do all this manually across multiple softwares and that took around 1 hour. Now takes a couple of seconds.

Thanks for reading!

If it's something you've done at work already, I'd be careful to check what paperwork you've ever signed or else they might own your side project, if it makes any money.
