I want to create a workbook/planner tool for freelancers and startups that aren't so keen on the communications and marketing side of things and also don't have the runway to afford full services.
So many freelancers and indie hackers struggle and/or don't prioritize marketing. People here are often looking for checklists, though what they end up coming across is often too vague or irrelevant.
My current worbook topics includes easy to use marketing tools available now, tutorials, sample campaigns, a target market tool: to hone in on audience, planning for brand voice and communication as well as streamlining tools and systems for a solopreneur or small team.
I would love to see more about "streamlining" marketing. Honestly I haven't done any marketing because it feels like an overwhelming amount of work. It's hard enough to build and validate a product, but then build and validate a marketing strategy/campaign? It always feels like a luxury I don't have time for.
It's a luxury that I love! But I can completely understand the sentiment. In Marketing, Build and Validate = Strategize & Implement. Sometimes it's small things and key tools that can take you to the next level. I've found that entrepreneurs are prone to overcomplicating marketing for themselves. I would love to talk more to you about it. Feel free to contact me or add me on LinkedIn.
