Idea: New type of social network.

Hey guys. I have an idea in my head. It's a concept of a new type of social network.

Core concepts:

  • The user will own all their data.
  • Encrypted data will be saved on the user's device (mobile, USB key).
  • When the user logs in, all data will be sent to the social network servers and made available to all friends.
  • When the user will be online, his/her friend will be able to interact with him/her and his/her data (to see the user's posts, photos, comments, chats).
  • When the user logs out or turns off the social network, the data will be encrypted and sent back to the user's device and deleted from the servers so no one else can interact and see the data.

so

It will be like in real life. When you left a room full of people, you are no more able to interact with them, and on the other side, people can't interact with you. Therefore people will lose access to your data (mind) and could not access them as well as you lose connection to the people in the room and they could not enrich your data.

so

If you are online, you can update your, and other user's data.
If you are offline, you can't update your data, and other users can't update your data.

If you are online, your friends can see you, and you can see only friends that are online too and vice versa.

The user can be a business also.

What do you think?

I think it's a new concept of social network or at least I haven't see something like that...

What kind if "data" or posts are you planning for that social network?, I mean, the known social networks have this interactions where you can post something and the "communication" with other users is kind of "asynchronous", In my opinion this is helpful bc you can reply at any moment, but of course there is always room for new ideas an innovation

  2. 1

Synchronous/real-time applications are hard. The odds that you and your friends will be online at the same time are low. Interaction with strangers is often uncomfortable for people.

Also, I'm not sure of the problem at hand. The things I post on social media I want other people to see. The things I don't want the general public to see I DM/email using the numerous apps out there.
