Often times I see that the p2p video chat functionality we built for my other project (chessroulette.live) works better than zoom or google meets both in terms of image quality over a bad connection and functionality (audio not always working from first try , etc).
So, naturally I’m thinking what if we take that piece and make it a super simple yet friendly and functionality-potent app with a catchy name that could provide:
Other features could come in handy as well, and could be monetized like having an account and a list of friends, calendar, more than 6 in a room, etc..
The competition I found is:
But none of them are either free, peer to peer or just simple and very user friendly.
I’m also not exactly sure who the right audience for this is!
Any thoughts? 🤔
Think which niche you can greatly serve first. You become better then these competitors for a narrow market first, then scale. Can help on that, let's connect on twitter
Thank you @Denis_Shatalin! That makes sense – what do you think of digital nomads/remote teams?
You got to go 10 times more narrow than that to win customers. Like "best tool for collaborative design agencies of 7-15 people to run meetings"
Hmm very interesting!! 🤔 I like this advice a lot — exactly what I need as I’m mostly the product building guy, but I’m missing the product marketing side of things :)
Can we get to talk a bit more about this kind of stuff somehow?
Yeah sure just dm me
@gctroia At oVice, we provide access to virtual spaces for our users where they can customize it and make it their own! You can turn it into a virtual office, host events, study space, etc.
Our goal is to really optimize the remote work experience by giving our users the ability to interact with their peers in real time. This helps promote productivity and collaboration and I feel it can really help you stay focused, no matter where you are in the world! You get access to Zoom plugins, can embed media content and link documents.
Check us out at https://tour-en.ovice.in/ to take a look around and see how it works.
Do you plan to monetize the service? If so, how? Just asking to get some inspiration
Hey! I was thinking of a premium set of features such as:
Depends a lot on the target audience as well.
Thanks for the question!
