Idea Validation: BuyMyNotes

Students take notes all the time. then they throw them away. Consistently. Worse yet, they get thrown in a closet to sit and rot for all eternity. What if people could monetize the notes they take on a class? Given a platform for note taking, with specific templates one would fill out for the notes on a class, you could put it up for sale at the end of the semester/year/class and people could buy it, upvote it, downvote it, etc, so that they could use those and save a crapload of time in the upcoming classes.

I think it would be better for a lesson summaries

As @hatkyinc says, I'm in the industry and there's definitely money to be made. However the market is tending towards winner takes all, so you might have a harder time getting started in 2020 than when I did in 2010. If I were you, I'd focus on some value add over notes - e.g. interactive exercises etc.

hey, thanks for that! Curious what you mean by interactive exercises...mind expounding a bit?

Like Duolingo for languages, except specialized in whatever domain you plan on selling stuff for. E.g. if it were med school notes, the software might ask people to name that piece of anatomy.
