Idea Validation for Blueprint – A LinkedIn Chrome Extension for drafting messages

Hi there,

After getting deep into the ChatGPT rabbit hole, we’ve experimented with some use cases.

The latest result is Blueprint. It’s a small Chrome Extension that lets you quickly draft messages on LinkedIn, either for rapid replies or if you just need a little inspiration. The tool is a small companion supporting you with just a few clicks. You can even, reply as a pirate, add some trivia, or even movie quotes.

Blueprint is a very early MVP. Currently, we want to understand if it’s a valuable tool that we should continue to build.

The extension is available at the Chrome Web Store.

If you’ve got any technical questions, I’m happy to answer them.

Oh, I've never thought such a thing exist. A LinkedIn Navigator Chrome Extension for drafting messages can definitely be a useful tool for professionals who use LinkedIn for networking and communication. Here are some questions to consider when validating your idea:

Who is the target audience for this extension?
Identifying your target audience will help you understand their needs, pain points, and preferences. Are you targeting recruiters, job seekers, salespeople, or marketers? Once you have identified your target audience, you can design features that cater to their specific needs.

What are the pain points that your extension will address?
What are the problems that your extension will solve? Are LinkedIn users struggling to craft personalized messages that grab the attention of their prospects? Do they have trouble keeping track of the messages they have sent and the responses they have received? Identifying pain points will help you design features that provide real value to your users.

How will your extension differentiate itself from existing solutions?
There are already several tools available that offer similar functionality. How will your extension stand out? What unique features will you offer? What will be your pricing model?

What is the market size and potential revenue?
What is the size of your target market? How many people are using LinkedIn for networking and communication? What is the potential revenue that can be generated from your extension? Understanding the market size and revenue potential will help you determine if your idea is worth pursuing.

What is the feedback from your target audience?
Before investing time and resources into developing your extension, it's important to get feedback from your target audience. Conduct surveys, focus groups, or interviews to understand their needs and preferences. Incorporate their feedback into your design process to ensure that your extension meets their needs.
