Hey IH
I’m working on a new service to help US startups instantly hire top-tier Indian engineers
The kind who are:
💡 The Idea
You tell us:
“I need a React + Node.js engineer who can start next week and think like a founding team member.”
We give you:
• 3–5 pre-vetted engineers ready for final interview
• Results from home assignment + async video round
• Verified identity + background checks
• Option to handle payroll, laptop procurement, compliance, etc.
No job boards, no sifting through 2000 resumes. We curate and deliver.
🤝 Why me?
I’m a senior software engineer based in India, and have been working remotely with teams across the US, Japan, and Europe for 5+ years.
I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is for early-stage startups to find engineers who are actually good, communicate clearly, and can deliver from day one.
This service is built from that experience — to help you skip the noise and go straight to the cracked engineers.
We’re not just dumping resumes. We’re curating high-trust, high-signal engineers who thrive in early-stage environments — and taking care of everything so you don’t have to.
🛠️ What We Handle
• Talent sourcing (from our closed network)
• Technical vetting (live & async)
• Identity verification
• Background checks
• Hardware (laptop procurement/shipping if needed)
• Payroll & compliance via Remote/Deel
• Ongoing performance tracking (optional)
🙋♂️ Asking Indie Hackers:
Appreciate your thoughts!
I like how you present this. We do the same for African talents, but one of the biggest challenges we get from our US prospects is the feeling that we are replacing their jobs. We've made it clear that we aim to augment, not replace. I wonder if you've faced similar challenges
Hey!
Thanks for your feedback!
@sylvia_p - where can I learn more about your services?
This sounds much more curated and trustworthy than typical hiring platforms.
One idea to make it even better is analyzing candidates' GitHub activity. Looking at their repositories, commit history, and comment patterns could help assess both technical skills like React and Node.js and their communication style.
Curious what you think.
:p exactly! Thats something on the rader too - but longer term.
feels like the perfect blend of trust, speed, and real vetting that early-stage teams badly need. The async + background check combo is 🔥. Would love to know — how do you maintain quality as you scale your pool of engineers?
Great question!!!
The longer term idea is actually to automate a lot of the manual screening.
We are trying out ATSs that are powered by AI and that can rate and rank candidates based on custom prompts.
For example, I can query show me the candidates who have extensive experience in consumer building facing apps from scartch and have been promoted in the last 2-3 years and also have worked remotely.
And ideally an AI ATS should be able to surface the most relevant candidates from my talent pool.
Secondly we also plan to automate/auto-evaluate take home assignment reviewing.
Def it wont be perfect, but we can at the very least filter out a lot of the noise + make the task of the reviewer faster.
Apart from that, we will only work with startups who are willing to pay above market rates for indian engineers (By market I mean indian market) and have somewhat of a business direction/traction.
A combination of above market rates from + fully remote + tax saving contract = You will always have a pool of strong engineers.
Let me know if this makes sense.
@hemanth_22 are you operating a startup that has hiring needs?
Ok this sounds interesting.
But how do you plan to vet the technical skills?
Also which genre of engineers are you planning to get started with?
Great q!
We run async take home assignments + manual reviews -> then share top 3–5 with test results + intro interview video.
We’re starting with React, Node.js, full-stack, and some LLM folks — all startup-ready.
If you are interested, I can DM you the exact details.
