Idea validation: No-code E2E monitoring platform
My idea is:
- Write automated monitoring checks with a no-code editor.
- These checks run every X minutes and they check your site's core functionality (login, checkout, shopping cart ,etc).
What do you think about it? Would you need such a thing?
This kind of service has been around for decades. Don't know off hand what platforms do this today, but I would suspect something similar to Visual Ping would be able to do something like that.
Yeah, a normal ping service is indeed exists since decades and there are many of them.
Is there any service which clicks through the core functionality every 5-10 minutes?
Yes. I used such tools back in the early 2000s to monitor several internal & external apps we were developing at that time. Surprisingly, they were "no-code" back then too (though that term didn't exist then).
We could monitor login pages, go through page flows, look for specific results on pages, click on certain buttons or links on pages and look for exceptions to expected results, etc.
I don't know off hand which tools do that today. But, if they existed back 20 years ago, I have to believe there are many SaaS platforms that offer that kind of site testing today.

Well, it was back around 2001, so unfortunately I don't remember what the name of that tool was. That software may not even exist anymore.
My point was that we were able to do it 20 years, so I would assume that there are some SaaS platforms that currently do it, in a way that required no coding or very little.
If it were me looking to see what other potential competitors there were, I'd start with a simple Google search like this:
