Idea Validation: Product Hunt for MVP

I found Product Hunt is not a place where makers validate whether their products are successful or not. The level of quality of MVP is not good enough to be launched on Product Hunt. So I want to build Product Hunt for MVP quality products and get feedback from other developers.

Hi. I do agree that an idea is worth nothing, but you everyone has to start somewhere. I actually flirted with a similar concept before and named it: ShouldIcodeThis? The problem back then, was that it would be a PH, just with lower quality. Maybe you could twerk it into Tinder for ideas with a slide left or right option. Just a thought.

I've found quite the contrary. Many products on PH are bare bones, a great way to see if an idea has interest.

PH allows you to launch updated versions of products at a future date as well.

What I still haven't seen implemented correctly yet is a PH for just ideas.

Because ideas are boring to look at

Agreed. What might be interesting is a community built strictly around exchanging feedback on ideas. IH caters to this in some way.

While I agree with your sentiment, I don't think ideas are worthless. Ideas collect thousands of subscribers on PH Ship, strictly due to interest in just an idea.

Its a great way to gage interest before investing time.

But to you're point - I wouldn't say it validates an idea or makes it magical.

Idea is different from MVP. What do you think?

Some startups/projects are posted to websites like Betalist, Betapage, Betafy before launching. Is that similar to what you have in mind?

How about MakerPad for MVP. We can get some tips about how to build MVP.
