Idea validation: quick and easy way to write web app documentation

Hi all,

Having sold my last bootstapped startup, I’ve been living the 9-5 life for a couple of years. Recently the old side project itch has returned, so I decided to dust off something I'd been wanting to build for a while.

It's just a demo video at this stage, I’d really appreciate feedback from you all in this quick survey.

It looks like you are working on a cool project! I noticed a few problems though.

Without a monetization plan, it will be hard to build a business around this. What did you have in mind?

I currently use helpdesk software and different tools to make the process easier, and those tools are usually free. (Ditto clipboard manager, ShareX for screenshots).

In general, I don't think that screenshots are the most time-consuming part - writing texts is the real issue for me personally.

Thanks Farouq, it's awesome to get some different perspectives. I'm planning on a monthly subscription model for hosted docs and creation tool.

I always found the screenshots very time consuming on my last startup, but I agree writing is also time consuming. I've got some thoughts to make that little easier, but ultimately I think that's something without much scope for simplifying/automating.

Congrats on the sale, Matt! Just poked around your google form and think I might be able to save you some time and distribution to quick feedback.

I'm building a startup idea validation platform called Kernal and people are posting their ideas, google forms and questions on their to ask what people think of them, if they'd invest or want to join their team. If you want, I can get you an invite code to post up your idea to hear feedback from our community of 5,000 founders/ investors?

Here's a recent newsletter with startup idea people are posting / building - https://blog.kern.al/100b-creator-economy-and-the-startups-hiding-inside/
