Idea validation: staggered standup updates

The problem

As a developer I have worked in the last 4 years with companies from different countries, working pretty often in different timezones. In terms of communications, while some meetings were necessary to define solutions etc ... the most annoying thing was the need to be available for standups at some given times.

The idea

The tool I am thinking about requires an admin (the project manager, team lead, whoever...) to create a daily standup appointment at a fixed time (for example, 10.00 UTC) and invite members.

This causes every team member, in whatever timezone, to receive invitation and define settings for the standup (for example, a member in the US east cost can ask for a reminder 12 hours earlier).

When the user has some time, he can record his own update and submit it, on time for the "real" standup appointment.

When all of the members have recorded their updates, the software merges everything in a video that can be consumed by all the members accordingly to their own schedules.

Clearly there's a bunch of features I see in this tool, but that's not the point here.
