Ideas on FREE software to build for marketing purposes?
After reading https://www.amazon.com/Traction-Startup-Achieve-Explosive-Customer-ebook/dp/B00TY3ZOMS I am testing a few different channels for growth.
One channel I want to test is engineering as marketing. My tool https://storycreatorapp.com/ is an online-based video editing tool. So I want to build something that makes dealing with video easier.
One thing I want to build but am currently validating is a way to easily slice up a Youtube video to convert into short-form IG posts/stories.
I'd love some ideas around making videos more manageable and cool. I am a UX/UI expert and can code some sick shit. Over the past year, I have really learned FFMPEG and am fairly confident I can create some EPIC stuff. I really want to share my talents.
I am not pivoting away from my main tool. I am just looking for ideas on a side tool that can drive traffic to the main tool. Even something as simple as a converter could be cool.
I know I am not the only one who deals with video. Some IH folks must deal with video and have some pain points. Let me know what I can code to offer value and drive traffic.
Maybe a tool that strips the video away and just leaves audio (Audacity does this, as does iMovie once you are ready to save) then allows you to directly upload to soundcloud or spotify?
Do you personally have a need for this?
No I don't. Right now I have a podcast and I add clips from videos. I upload to audacity and it just takes the audio file. But I could see it being useful if I decide to upload my book trailers to those sites.
I am working on a feature right now where you can upload audio for music or a podcast and get a social media video made. It's almost done, still working on it. I'll give you a quick sample https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/storycreator.rendered/test.mp4 I uploaded an audio .mp3. I was feeling silly so I downloaded Elon Musks' new song "don't doubt yer vibe". Then I passed it through my app https://storycreatorapp.com/ with a background image and some animated text and got that result.
That would be cool. Super easy to do. I currently am stripping the audio on videos in my one-click video to subtitles feature.
