So I have an issue.
About a month ago, buildfaster.co went live on ProductHunt. The problem is that I completely ignored all the “ultimate guides” for launching on ProductHunt. Because of this, BuildFaster (at the time of me writing this) only has 7 upvotes.
I consider this a failure 👎
So I’m considering a relaunch 🚀
Would this be worth my time? If so, what helped you be successful on ProductHunt?
I’m hoping to get in the top 5 on my launch day so I can have a bit more of an audience and better credibility.

3 weeks back I launched my very first product ChartNerd on PH ended up getting 192 upvotes on the first day.
What I learned from the PH launch is that the first hour is very important, if you fall below the top 10 lists it will be hard for visitors to find your product, you will get less organic votes.
Products with an animated gif as thumbnail perform better than those without.
Also, don't forget to launch at 12:00 AM PST. I did my launch on Sunday but not sure if that contributed to more upvotes.
