If you are in tech (dev, QA, SRE, Devops, Security, Architect, Support, management) I would love to ask you some questions

I'm currently doing heavy user research for a new documentation tool I'm developing called Scribe. Until very recently I was set on making this a generic wiki tool similar to Confluence, Notion, Slab, ect. It would aim to solve all the problems people experience with their wiki as it scales (discoverability of documents, lack of insight into how people interact with your content, and no tools to prevent outdated documentation).

A few days ago I posted an article on Medium and reposted that on hacker news (link below) which has driven 65 signups. I then sent out an email to those that signed up asking for some feedback (what their pain points where and what they did for a living). After going over the feedback and noticing that most people that have signed up for access so far are engineers or engineering/product managers I'm now considering tailoring the tool to target this segment. Specifically, I would be making a documentation tool geared towards app development.

To make sure I'm on the right track I need to talk to as many people as possible in this field to learn your pain points. So without further ado the questions:

1. What are your pain points when it comes to documentation? If you don't like to write documentation why is this?
2. What do you primarily document? (e.g. APIs, architecture, admin, meeting notes, ect)
3. What is your job title?
4. Would a tool that can tie documentation directly to a code file, folder, or section of the app you are developing be something you would be interested in?
