Stop trying to overhaul your life overnight.
You have tried to wake up early, get done with that boring work, try to eat healthy, try to do that meditation every day in the morning, and for the belief of changing yourself.
But let me say this, a habit that that has the potential to change your life won’t just stick to you after doing it for some weeks–no it doesn’t work like that.
I’m sure you tried this all but again see yourself at the starting line… Again…
And it is not because of the lack of self-discipline rather you were overwhelmed by doing everything all at once. Ik it’s a hard pill to swallow but it is something you already know and have experienced in your life.
Pick one thing.
It is easy to say but change is hard. We all know that change is hard but change is something you need and want to make it stick, it needs to be as simple and easy as possible to maintain that consistency of habit that leads you to change.
To do that, you need to pick one thing. Pick something that seems really easy, because it never ends up being as easy as you think it will.
Take that one change you’ve decided to add to your daily and do it consistently for three weeks. After the three weeks, evaluate yourself, what are the results you got from that? If that change is working for you when you compare your past self then take it and if not get rid of it.
Then add one new change, do that for three weeks, and take good or replace and repeat the process. This is how you create big changes in your life.
An important fact you should remember is to avoid negative self-talk. To get back on track, you can create a table in Google Sheets or you can write it in a notebook about the results you could get from a routine or habit (you were adding) after 3, or 2 years.
Small steps and slow changes pay off more quickly when you repeatedly try rather than do it all at once.
I have been working on improving myself for the last three years and doing many things at once was a lesson I don’t want to learn again…
