Long time lurker, first-time poster. (Go easy on me! 😄).
One of the things we're looking to do at our agency is grow the affiliate revenue we bring in. We used to do really well with 1 or 2 posts on our site that did incredibly well for a few years (well over 6 figures in total) but it felt more like luck than a proper strategy - as that revenue is now down to $0. 😭
I'm doing research on where to kickstart things again and one of the things we can do is spend some money to kickstart our affiliate revenue generation.
If you had $5k to spend on affiliate marketing, what would you be looking at spending it on?
PPC ads? Building an email list to market to? Shoot Youtube videos?
(We'd be playing in the tech / SAAS affiliate space, since that's where our expertise is)
Here are the things you must have in place for affiliate marketing to be genuinely successful.
First, you need a system akin to a franchise with inexpensive front-end items and expensive back-end products.
Second, your Online Affiliate Marketing system must give you tried-and-true strategies for promoting your company.
Paid promotion is the quickest path to success for your affiliate marketing venture. (PPC, PPV, solo advertising, etc.) Furthermore, without a tracking system in place, you shouldn't merely order traffic and direct it to your landing page. To grow your business, you must understand your figures!
Build email list and run ads and also shoot some videos on the product you're promoting and invest in the best tools that will help your videos go viral.
Thanks @Kinghumble - what tools are you referring to when you talk about helping videos go viral?
My friend it is called tubebuddy and it offers a free plan but the upgraded plan is the best.

Hi Jason, we can’t leave you hanging here without any answers!
Tell me a bit more about your agency and what your prime customer would be? Then I’ll drop you a few recommendations ✌️
Really appreciate that @kennethj. Our agency focuses on WordPress maintenance services, which includes WP development and hosting too.
Been going down a rabbit hole on this stuff and a lot of the info is geared towards "getting started with affiliate marketing".
Are you getting clients for your agency?
Nope, this isn't to get clients for the agency. That part of the business is really healthy. We're trying to kickstart our affiliate revenue again, so want to know what shortcuts we can take if we spent money on it!
