If you think all great ideas are taken already

If you think all great ideas are taken already.

You are just not paying attention enough.

Here's how I got my painkiller Saas idea just by browsing X.

I found this post introducing people to HARO.

So did 11k other people.

But one comment underneath caught my eye.

"The only problem I find with them is that now they send me 4 emails per day every day, and I sincerely read like 1-2 per week."

That's a clear problem needing a solution.

So, I built it, validated it, launched it. Now I have 50+ signups and closing in on $100 MRR.

Don't just scroll.

Pay attention. Listen. Keep note.

Address a pain point.

You might just find your next big idea.

    Congrats on the MRR.

Similar from my end, developing software that is very out there. But I found a twist to make it work better, so this gave me home. We’re pre-testing at the moment, but an MVP could be done in 4ish months (we both work full time)

4ish months seems very long... I'd heavily cut your MVP scope.

For example I don't even have auth and don't plan to have auth for 4 more weeks at least.

Problem is we’re trying to penetrate dental clinics, and specifically mechanism used to book patients.

So we’re thinking they would require something pretty operational to trust a new platofrm

Have you considered walking into the clinics in your city and talk to them?

          1. 1

I work 8:30-17:00 .. exactly when they’re open. I thought to go through the calling method

some are open on weekends you can try that, definitely talk to them to see if it's a problem they want solved before grinding 4 months of your life on it

Essentially it comes down to making a great offer that people will not resist ( credit to ALex Hormozi ).

Sometimes its is not even a pain point, it just to make things better or increase their status. By giving then a very good offer you can charge your service higher.

Here an article which you guys will be interested Great Offer Will Make Your Business Successful

Agree, I read something similar from Sabri Suby. My version of that is we are offering a publicity guarantee, get press coverage in 30 days or full refund.

'Address a pain point' is key. Appreciate agreeing on that!

    Absolutely true!

Hey, kinda related to that : we just launched a newsletter that helps people in search of business ideas find problems worth solving.

Here is the substack : mvpie.substack

We did it because we realise that the only thing that was 100% certain, was the failure rate of projects that started with a solution rather than a problem in mind.

Hopefully it can help someone here start a nice journey :)
