If you were me, would you have done the same?

If someone offers you an opportunity to lead the failing company he started (but run by someone else), and you have a team of talents, 1 million funding in the bank, and the flexibility to lead the product, would you take the chance?

It sounds very good right. I had the same thought back then.

But at the same time, I was thinking about whether:

  • This company is fishy - are they doing anything illegal behind the scene?
  • If it is not going well, why not just shut down? Why bring me in to keep running it? What's the motive behind?
  • Do I have the capability to turn it around?

There were so many uncertainties but I was quite naive and made the decision without considering fully.

I just released chapter 2& 3 of my startup journey exactly about me taking up this offer: https://www.thefirsttimefounder.com/

So I'm curious to know if you were me, whether you'd make the same decision I made, or there are other thoughts prompted on your mind that I didn't think of and should have considered. Keen to learn!
