Good to see this! I do wonder how much percentage you should spend on marketing vs coding

Great piece and interesting. I was with you the entire journey through. Well written! - Looks like you've done some learning, and I like the way you split up your funnels. It's definitely inspired me to make some changes. Thank you for this!

Hah. Yeah, as a kid I didn't want to do "normal" jobs like mowing lawns so I started an online business. It was fun but also TERRIFYING. I hated interacting with customers and dealing with complaints but it was the trial by fire I needed.

I think one of the hardest parts of entrepreneurship as a software engineer is that we're not USED to talking directly to people and hearing direct feedback. It hurts when you've worked on something and poured your heart and soul into it and someone comes along and tells you your product sucks.

Great article and tips. This is helpful to all founders not just those with a dev background.

Couldn't agree more. So many founders think a successful startup is all about the product but it's no good having a great product if you don't know how to sell it.
