As I monitor milestones daily, there is usually at least one browser extension. Today, I noticed milestone from @grmmph about his work on Trends Everywhere.
While the extension looks simple, it does provide unique utility by marrying Google Trends with Google Search -- this makes keywords watching both active and useful straight from google.com.
You can install it from https://trendseverywhere.com/ or https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/trends-everywhere/blilbgcjmmpbcjiopbifnoopnpfhdipg
I'd be interested to know where @grmmph sees this going and what are monetization options here. I always find it fascinating where the idea came from as well. Finally, why Chrome only? I've mentioned this before to others, but 99% of extensions built for Chrome are automatically compatible with Firefox, Edge, Opera, and many more without any changes...
Thanks @Soft_Re for the mention!
This extension was created for my own needs (I'm a heavy user of G trends) and as I showed it to a few friends and got a positive feedback, I ended up launching it in Product Hunt and got over 1,400 votes for it.
I'm now researching and brainstorming with myself where I should take this forward. I'm happy to hear ideas from all.
Awesome and thanks for commenting. Great work on the product. I'm planning to cover some monetization strategies in the near future.
Wow, about 2 months ago I had this very same idea. I was inspired by a product that is showing keyword research directly on google.com, so I thought why not google trends. But I didn't pursue the idea. Great job @grmmph.
I had the same inspiration:)
