IH profile and product setup questions

Hey all,

Need your advice & assistance on IH-related stuff.

(1) PROFILE

I noticed when I went to my profile, I see this message on an empty page:

Your profile is empty.
Click the icon to start building it.

But when I started the account, I did set up my profile with a name, picture and bio. I can still see it when I go to my "History" section. So, why is it asking me to create my very own profile again?

(2) PRODUCT

I am about to start work on a new initiative but it's in the ideation stage. Do I chronicle my journey via POST, FORUM or PRODUCT? If Product, it asks for a name and website. What if you are still brainstorming for them?

(3) BUILD IN PUBLIC

Do you create a PRODUCT and then blog about its progress within that product section, or do you chronicle your stories under your profile?

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you so much for your time.

Cheers,

I also wonder when you are able to create a profile? I'm on IH for quire a while now and did several posts but still can't create a profile or create a post.

Oh, that's sad. Did you reach out to the IH tech team to investigate? They can assist you or give the reasons why you can't create a profile. Have you tried going to "Notifications" and then editing/creating the profile there?

I am a newbie in here too. I think that first you start with a small profile. I call it the read, comment and post profile that you can find in the history option. It shows your picture, age, when you joined. And can edit it to put some other things.

Now the profile option i think is like a more advanced part of your profile where you can add more sections to it like bio, products, articles and social links.

If you don't feel confortable in adding that kind of information right now just skip it. You can add it later when you have a product, a site, whatever. Add a bio and social links if you want.

Thanks so much for that detail! I didn't realise you could create different profiles! Interesting feature. I am sticking with one :)
