IHers, what are your principles?

I recently committed to 10 years of writing my newsletter, Grit List.

As I'm reflecting back on what's motivating this and pushing me forward, I've thought a lot about my principles–what matters to me, why I do what I do, and how I see the world.

I'm not quite ready to share my full thoughts on the topic (soon!) but I'm curious fellow Indie Hackers, what makes you tick? Why are you fighting so hard to build a profitable side hustle? What are principles?
