Here's my suggested changes to your landing page copy, in markdown format. I hope it captures what you want.

I'm not your target market, nor want you to beta-test my product (it's a physical product too big to ship to where you are :) ). Just wanted to be of help. Good luck.

    # Improve Your Productivity By Tracking And Rewarding Your Coding Time

    ## Track Your Time

Install the VS Code extension to start tracking your coding time, then visualize the data collected offline in your editor, or online in the web app in your HabitScript account.

    ## Get Rewarded

Get points and badges the more you code. Share your progress with your friends on social media. Gain added features the more you achieve.

Join a coding challenge like #100DaysOfCode and get rewarded as you complete its rules. Or, create your own challenge, then invite your friends to join or make it public.

    ## Get Ranked On Developer's Leaderboard

Make your profile public to become a member of the Developer's Leaderboard, then see how you rank with other developers in terms of hours spent coding, average daily coding time, and most-used language.

    ## Improve Your Productivity By Forming a Coding Habit

    ## Frequently Asked Questions

We do not process, send, or store your proprietary code. We only send data like programming language, filename, folder name, and coding time to our server.

    ### What I will get from the points I earn?

The points you earn from your coding time will get you special badges, increase your ranking in the developers leaderboard (if you make your profile public), and get an avatar that reflects your productivity.

    ### What makes Habitscript unique compared to other time-tracking tools?

Gamification is what makes HabitScript unique. If you have any suggestions on how the reward system can be improved, I look forward to hearing them.

Thank you so much for your help and time.

I truly appreciate your help, you’ve made my day!

Not about copywriting but i'll leave my 2 cents by suggesting that you get rid of that launch video. It has many problems, the most noticeable being that it was heavily inspired by Apple's videos (this is not a problem in itself, but it's almost like a copy on that the written parts, including the music), and it has very long text parts, like, reeeealy long, and then you just throw a screenshot in between. If you want to have a launch video, I would tell you to work harder on it or find someone who can do it better, even a friend.

Also, what you are creating is definitely interesting, but as someone suggested in your ProductHunt page, you should go the Freemium way. And besides that, 9,99$/month on an individual subscription is a high price for the current offering.

Finally, you got me interested on your project because as a dev I've had times where I wanted to track my coding time but dind't have a simple way to do it, and this is it, so I hope you can get it right and I will become a user in the future, for certain!

Yes, I didn't take enough time on creating promo video because I was wondering if I have an interest in my project and I want to ship fast to get feedback

Yes, the freemium will be a good pricing model but I was wondering if they'll enough paying customers to be able to pay the cost of the web app

Thank you so much for the feedback and I hope I can get it right. What do you think about the gamification part of the product?

      1. 1

Well, that I understand, but if people get a bad first impression they are not going to like it, are they? In my opinion, no video is better than an off-putting video.

From my POV the app doesn't seem very resource-needy, and depending on the implementation you can save a lot of resources, but I think it won't be very expensive to implement, but in time you will learn from the use and adjust everything, although I advice you to do some bechmarks and calculations so you have an estimate.

Seeing that you are selling your product as a productivity improvement tool for people to make a habit out of coding, I think that the gamification part is a great idea!
I would personally not use it for that intent (not to make coding a habit), but would like to use it so I can keep track of how much time I spend working on different projects and manage my work better, since I work on many projects (which may end up being a productivity improvement) if the option to have a separate timer for specific projects would come to be.

        1. 2

I totally agree with you, I'll relaunch it without a video

This my first project ever as a first-time indie maker and newbie developer and I'll do some benchmarks and calculations to have an estimated cost.

Thank you for your feedback about the gamification part

Yes, you can get coding activity for each project and also for each programming language and files

Thank you so much for your feedback, advice, and support. I really appreciate it :)

          1. 2

You got me into your idea!
Hope you can make it thrive! Keep it up :)
