Hey everyone. I want to share what I've been doing for the past month because I think some of you might find it useful — or at least entertaining.
I'm 17, based in Europe. I built an AI-powered follow-up system for med spas in the US. When a clinic misses a call or gets a website form submission, my system responds via SMS and email within 20 seconds with real information about that clinic's services and pricing. Not a chatbot. Not a generic autoresponder. An actual personalized response based on what that specific clinic offers.
The tech stack is n8n + Twilio + OpenAI. Built the whole thing myself.
Now here's where it gets real. I've sent over 600 cold outreach messages — contact forms, personalized emails, everything. One person replied "I'm interested." Then went silent.
That's it. $0 in revenue. But I'm not stopping and here's why.
I tested this myself. I submitted forms and called dozens of med spas as if I was a customer. Most took hours to respond. Many never responded at all. These are clinics spending $5-10k/month on Google Ads to drive traffic to their site, and then they just don't pick up the phone. The problem I'm solving is very real.
What I've learned so far:
Contact forms are the hardest outreach channel. Your message goes to a receptionist who doesn't care. Emails are slightly better because sometimes they land in the owner's inbox. But the real unlock will probably be getting on a call with an owner — that's where trust gets built.
Nobody cares about your tech. I rewrote my pitch three times. First version talked about AI and automation. Nobody replied. Current version leads with "most clinics respond to new leads in hours — or never. By then, the person has already booked with a competitor." That's the pain. That's what gets attention.
Personalization matters but volume matters more at this stage. I write a custom line for every single clinic referencing something specific about their practice. But the math is simple — at less than 1% response rate, you need hundreds of touches to get anywhere.
The silence is the hardest part. You send 30 messages a day, check your inbox every hour, and there's nothing. For days. It tests you. Most people would've quit by now and moved to the next shiny idea.
My goal is $300-400k revenue by end of 2026. Current revenue: $0. The system works, the demo is recorded, and every day I wake up and send more.
If anyone here has experience selling to local service businesses — med spas, dentists, clinics — I'd genuinely appreciate any advice on what channel or approach finally broke through for you.

"The hustle here is incredible, especially at 17. You’ve identified a massive bleeding neck problem—the 'lead leakage' in med spas spending thousands on ads only to ignore the leads is a goldmine if you can crack the gatekeeper.
Your shift from 'AI' to 'lost revenue' in your pitch is the exact right move. Local business owners don't want a tech stack; they want their phones to stop being expensive paperweights. This project and your 'build-in-public' grit would be a perfect entry for the current competition. Entry is $19 and the winner gets a trip to Tokyo.
Prize pool just opened at $0. Your odds are the best right now. Definitely worth a look while you're grinding through those next 600 messages!
For local businesses, have you tried Loom videos? Sending a 30-second clip showing their website and how slow the response was usually bypasses the receptionist's delete key."
