I'm 17 with no coding background — 45 days post-launch, 14 users, and struggling with distribution. What worked for you?

I'm Daniel, and I am the founder of FutureHabit AI, a new app with a different approach to habit tracking: only spending 10 seconds a day or less tracking habits, while also getting AI insights/stats for Premium users.

I want to talk a bit about my journey:

I had an idea over the summer to build a habit tracking app. I hopped on FlutterFlow and started building!

5 months in, limited progress, trashy UI, an unorganized idea with no connecting message.

I hopped on ChatGPT in a hotel room and asked it, "Is the message clear?" It said, "You need to change your angle."

I switched from FlutterFlow to Emergent, a fully AI app builder. I completely switched my idea to "10 seconds a day," switched my name to "FutureHabit AI," and poured years of savings into credits (but still enough left over for marketing :)

5 months of work meant nothing; only the last 3 months made it to the app store. That's what I found about entrepreneurship: it is the most variable concept of all time.

The app has been live for 45 days and has accumulated 14 organic users. Here are some real numbers: $22 on Apple Search Ads — 16 taps, 1 install. $10 on Reddit Ads — 1,797 impressions, 5 clicks, 0 installs.

I have tried Instagram, TikTok, Reddit (and Reddit Ads), ASA, X, Google Ads, and YouTube. Influencers are the next step!

My biggest mistake yet was boosting reels on Instagram; followers, but no users. I also found Reddit and Google Ads to be unhelpful since people would naturally scroll/skip, which I can defend; I would do too.

I am just wondering if any of you have had these issues with the distribution, and what worked for you?

Also, if you think there is anything the app itself could improve, please let me know!

This hits hard — especially the “product is done, distribution isn’t” part.

From what you shared, it doesn’t look like a product problem, more like audience + positioning mismatch.

    Also, quick thought:

👉 The prize pool just opened at $0. Your odds right now are the best they will ever be.

This kind of hook could work really well if pushed in the right communities.

Curious — where have you been trying to reach your target users so far?
