I'm 19, built a wealth tracker for UK HENRYs because nothing existed, roast me

Just incorporated Vantis in the UK last month. The idea came from my own frustration. I have investments, property and crypto and couldn't find a single tool that works for the UK market. Finary is French, Copilot is US only, everything else is basic budgeting.

So I built a prototype. Landing page and waitlist live at tryvantis.com.

I'm not a developer, built it with AI tools. The feedback I've gotten so far ranges from "this is needed" to "anyone can build this in 15 minutes with Claude." Both probably true.

What I actually want to know: if you're building in fintech or have complex finances, what would make you actually pay for something like this?

One thing I'd be careful with:

The interesting question may not be whether people would pay for a wealth tracker.

It's whether they're actually buying tracking in the first place.

Those sound similar, but they can lead to very different products, positioning, and expectations.

That's one of those decisions that tends to shape far more than people expect, and I wouldn't make it casually from waitlist feedback alone.

Honestly fair challenge, and it made me reflect a bit.

You're right that it partly comes down to personality. Some people deliberately avoid looking at their numbers. But I'm the opposite, I'm 19, I already have investments, property and crypto, and I genuinely want to see everything in one place all the time. I'm not building for someone hypothetical. I am the customer.

And beyond personality there's just a real practical problem. Someone might track their stocks on Freetrade just fine. But they can't see that next to their ISA allowance, their property equity, and the watch they bought last year. The data exists but it's scattered everywhere. Even people who genuinely want to track can't, because no single tool connects all of it for the UK market.

That's the gap I'm building for.

        Possibly.

The reason I'd still be careful is that I don't think the interesting part is the gap you're describing.

I think it's the decision sitting underneath it.

That's not something I'd try to unpack properly in a thread.

If you'd like the tighter version, drop your email and I'll put it together properly.

i'm not allowed yet for putting my email on it so be careful there's a gap in my email.

          Thank you for your help

Sent you a note by email.

I think the decision matters more than the gap itself right now.
