I'm a ghost founder & Product Management veteran. I built the feedback tool I always needed.

I'll keep the details vague to protect my day job, but the story is real.

I've spent 25 years in software, starting as a product designer, then moving into product management 18 years ago. I've been a CPO, a CTO, and Head of Product at startups and scaleups. I've helped build and grow teams, and if there's one thing I'm known for, it's helping early-stage companies build products customers actually love.

And yet, in most companies I've worked at, we made the same mistake.

We adopted a feedback and roadmap tool that looked clean and simple on the marketing site. We ran the demo. We got excited. We rolled it out.

Then, six months later, the tool was the first line item cut when someone opened the expense report.

Here's what actually happened at some of the companies:

At one, we adopted Aha!. It looked powerful. It was. Too powerful. Within a few months, we had content and information scattered across the entire platform with no coherent structure. We ended up forming a whole new internal group just to govern the tool. A governance group. For a feedback tool. We were spending more time managing the tool than using it to build a product.

At another, we used Productboard. It was better, until it wasn't. The drift between Productboard and our actual Jira instance became so painful and confusing that our founder eventually walked in and told the entire team to stop using it. Just like that. No replacement. No plan. We went back to spreadsheets and gut feel.

And after both of those experiences and a few more similar to them, I looked at what was left in the market and realized: there is no good option that just does the basics well. Something that I would actually use as a PM, a leader, and someone accountable for a book of business.

No tool that simply collects customer ideas, helps you prioritize them with frameworks PMs actually use, and publishes a roadmap your customers can see. Without a strategy layer. Without enterprise governance. Without a per-seat pricing model that punishes you for growing.

So after the Productboard incident, I started a prototype. Just a "what if." Two months later, I had Rekorso.


Why "Rekorso"?

I love cars. It's my real hobby. "Corso" means street circuit in racing, roads temporarily closed to become a race track. There is also a beautiful lesson in what it takes to build a winning race car: every component matters, nothing is wasted, and the team that strips away unnecessary weight wins. That is exactly the philosophy behind Rekorso.


What Rekorso actually does:

It gives your customers a direct line to your roadmap. A public idea portal where they submit ideas, vote on what matters most, and have Reddit-style threaded discussions around each idea. Where I am today:

Pre-revenue. A handful of companies on the platform, not yet actively using it. I'm a PM, not a salesperson or marketer. This post is genuinely the hardest part of the build for me.
