I'm an experienced engineer, looking for a cofounder

Hi there! I'm an engineer with about 14 years experience in systems eng, devops, software engineering. I was a senior eng at Google for 5 years. I'm definitely "full stack", having worked professionally on almost all levels of the tech stack.

I'm interested to partner with someone who has similar interests, brainstorm some ideas together in the area of SaaS products for online creators, social, content, publishing, productivity, remote work, maybe even for indie hackers ;)
I'm happy to bootstrap, or even take some small angel investment too, depending on the idea -- we can work it out together.

I'm a very product minded person, thinking deeply about commercial side of things too, and I have spent time building a startup before, so I'm no stranger to customer development and other such topics.

I would ideally like to partner with somebody in Europe, but somewhat flexible for the Americas too.

If this sounds like it could be a good match, then reach out and say hi! I'd love to chat and see what happens.

    Shane,

We could use some full stack development help (a CTO or leader to help the team that has already started this product). If you are interested in this idea let me know, I would love to talk more:

    Thanks,

    Hi Shane,

I currently am a full-stack developer located in London, UK with over 5+ years experience working for a large event ticketing company. I currently am working on a side project of mine and would love to bounce a few ideas off of you.

I'm a full stack dev as well, proficient with a bunch of frameworks, languages, etc. (and I've always been able to quickly pick up anything new that I don't already know). Would love to trade ideas (I have quite a few myself). I work 100% remote so I usually have pretty open days. I'm in the U.S., but if interested, let's chat.

    Hey Shane,

Are you based in Germany? Would you be willing to relocate to the UK?

    Ido

Where do you see the biggest opportunities right now? What do you think of our side project https://joinfoundhero.com any interest here - we are looking for another dev resource Node.js to integrate several APIs I have signed up to distribute our product.

    Hi Shane,

congrats on what you have accomplished so far!
Let me introduce myself, I have been programming since around 7 years now in C# and NodeJs. I would consider myself as a Fullstack Engineer. I speak english, german, serbian and a little bit of french.

Currently I am working in the second biggest e-commerce company (first place is obviously amazon) in europe as a business analyst. There I am pushing innovation towards marketing, programming a little SaaS for internal usage and managing a big google ads account (2m+ products) and of course keeping an overview of the business itself concerning customer quality, activation, cashflow, planning forecasts etc. They call this agile :D

I have had my own companies before, started out with amazon fba and an own brand and moved to an mobile app that would be comparable with https://www.airtasker.com/.
I have always tried to motivate some buddies around to work with me but they never could stay up with my motivation and quitted co-operation. So in conclusion I have accomplished all my work and companies on my very own, wich kinda sucks.

As a side-hustle I am taking my experience from the company I work in and consult small companies within my area, but that something I dont enjoy anymore.

Currently I have no real idea of a good SaaS product, but maybe we can work something out together? If you are a chilled but focused guy, hit me up! =)

Edit: forgott to mention that I am based in Austria

    Hi Shane,

I've been a solo-peneur myself for the last couple of years. We built a credit monitoring app that didn't take off and an Android mobile app that seems like it is doing well.

The app allows people to manage and locate lost Bluetooth devices (think earbuds and fitness trackers) and has functionality embedded in it to help identify potentially dangerous devices.

It is different from our competitors in that it's got a well designed UI/UX and we have a backend that helps us aggregate data on popular devices, device types, most lost/found devices, etc.

We've had 109k downloads since our launch in September. It's installed on 22514 active devices, has over 4k registered users (we're removing the registration requirement in favor of a trial / free / in-app upgrade), and users have added over 16k Bluetooth devices using our app.

    This is the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.consumeraffinity.whereistheblue.

    And our website: https://www.signils.com.

I have quite a few ideas how to continue to attract users and how to monetize the app with additional value.

I would love to find a technical co-founder that can help make this app successful.

Let me know if you're interested in talking.

Hey, thanks for sharing! Sounds like you're doing a great job already. I'm more interested in building from the ground up with someone, and starting from idea phase, rather than joining an existing product. But thanks anyway!

Not a problem. I'll look forward to seeing what you wind up working on.

    Hey Shane,

Im a designer based in Dublin, formerly worked in London for 6 years, currently have 10 years UX and UI experience. Very research and product orientated also. Been getting into marketing recently also.

I currently work in SAAS as a designer / researcher and do a lot of product analyses.

I have been generating ideas and have discovered one or two SAAS that may be worth investing in.

Hit me up if you are interested!

Sounds great! Dublin is a great place :D Would love to chat if you have time this week at all? Want to shoot me an email and we can find a time? sneub@hey.com

    Hi Shane,

I work as a product designer for a leading SaaS enterprise platform in the wellness industry in Toronto. Also, I've won an award for the most creative app ( a competition presented by monday.com). I have a digital marketing experience as well, always focus on the business side of product and user experience design. I'm active in the entrepreneurial community and had some side projects as well.

Personally, I'm thinking of building a product in the areas that you've mentioned and would love to chat with you to see what we can bring to the table.

    Cheers,

Hi Alina! Thanks for the reply, and sounds great. I'd love to chat. Do you have time this week at some point? Perhaps you can shoot me an email, and we can arrange a time: sneub@hey.com :)

Hi Shane, I emailed you :)

Hey! I'm looking to get involved in a startup as a co-founder as well- here's the short brief about me:

    • Fresh grad in Computer Sci (specialisation in AI) with Highest Distinction from Singapore
    • Built my own math group tuition for high school kids before, so familiar with copywriting, some basic Google AdWords and sales.
    • Happy to do both coding and business development stuff 50/50 of the time; so able to help with programming but will like to interact with other people for sales, write copy etc too

Only downside is I live in Singapore, so I may be around 7 hours ahead of you. Happy to brainstorm something with you- I've been thinking how we can further use ML in existing SaaS too.
