After a few year break from indie hacking, I'm back at it! The Church Co is still running strong. We're a team of 10 now and it's turned in to a proper business.
This week I'm launching my new app CaptureCollab.com. It's an easy way to archive and tag photos (video soon) and share views with anyone you'd like.
I'm excited to be back at it!
Is the target market photographers?
It is more that client that hires the photographer. In my ideal world, an organization would have this, hire a photographer for a shoot and invite them to upload to their library. That way the organization is building a huge digital asset manager that they can sort and search for years to come.
I think that's a hard niche to find though, so we'll likely focus on photographers at first.
What do you think?
Yes, it's a pretty hard niche to find -- unless you focus on companies/users that hire photographers consistently (e.g. modelling agencies, magazines/editorials, marketing departments for big brands, etc).
Targeting photographers could be as difficult though, as they probably already have workflows in place to do this efficiently/effectively. Even if they do not have a decent workflow in place, the challenge is convincing them that this tool has value within their workflow.
At this point as it stands, both of these options could be viable -- so I'd probably have a few calls with both and see what they think
