Hey gang! I'm keen to start sharing more about my indie journey.
I've got a few years of experience as an engineer and product manager working for Jira (Atlassian) and Intercom. For the past year, I've quit the full time grind and am currently working on 3 indie projects.
What would you like me to write about?
A Hubspot and Slack integration for sales teams > there's a lot of these already and user adoption is tough.
What are you doing differently?
That's a great question. Funnily enough, user adoption has been easiest with that one - granted, we only have the free plan for now.
There're a few integrations doing this and in fact, Hubspot has a native integration that's quite powerful too. What's been key is that we're very specific and focused with the product and positioning.
That seems to be resonating well! I think the main insight to draw there is that it's so easy to feel overwhelmed with what's already out there, try come up with some broader strategy and so on. Instead, it's best to almost forget all that and start by just building something of value - even if it's just a little bit of value, even if it's only a few people - end to end.
That's a great idea for a blog, thanks for that :)
Interesting! How does it work? Do you have a public link we can visit to learn more?
Sure do
I was an AE at CB Insights and now oversee sales at Coderbyte.
Would love to connect and learn more.
That'd be great! Sent you an email.
