Hey guys, I'm currently building a new gaming platform and I would love to get some feedback and suggestions from my fellow IndieHackers.
This is something that I wanted to build for a really long time but for some reason was always postponed...
It's not 100% ready yet but it's available at https://www.freetogame.com
Good idea to have all in one place.
How does a developer/game studio add their own titles that are currently not on Steam or similar platforms ?

Good question, I'm currently building that section :)
Any progress Luis?
Not ready yet, but we are still available via email.
Cool idea. The main thing I am confused about though is how the games are accessible. Steam and Epic games have a downloadable application to access your library. Are you aiming in that direction or will you simply be a directory for free games?
I'm planing in hosting some games since not all games are available on Epic games or Steam. However a downloadable application/launcher it's not on my plans since many of this games already have their own applications/launchers.
Sounds good. And what is your monetization plan?
What is the process for game developers? Can they post a free game themselves or do you have a review system first?
The idea is to monetize with advertising, so we can deliver all content and services for free. The core idea of this project is to offer more value to the users while keeping everything available for free, so it's definitely a challenge.
The developer section is still under construction, should be easy to submit games, however there will be some sort of selection, not all games are going to be selected.
What incentive will gamers have to signup versus using the free to play page in Steam?
Looking again at your platform, one suggestion I would make is moving your filtering in your games list either at the top or on the side. Where it sits currently (between two rows of images), it's easy to miss it.
Steam don't have all games, lots of big games are missing there... Plus we are focused in delivering everything for free, not just the games but also gift packages, in-game currency and other premium goods.
Thanks for your suggestion, I will definitely make some tests with that in mind. Let me know if you have more suggestions.
Ahh interesting! I missed the part about the free offers.
Well, good luck with your project!
Love your site I have a few questions:
