I'm building a Timelapse screen recorder desktop app

https://youtu.be/hTgM0H_3J8c

I was inspired by Devon Crawford Video which he makes a script to automate his video editing process and I really automating things and speed coding video and I have added this idea to my challenge ideas list

My second product is a desktop app which records my screen and speeds up the video and makes it like timelapse and I really love that because it's like documenting my journey in a video format and get an overview of your day in 2 or 3 minutes video

Today, my first desktop app ever is working not perfect yet

I record my screen and it ends up with 5 h and 3 minutes video and after speeding up the video I get with one minute and 23 seconds video

I want to share my journey today in format video and maybe I'll share it videos like that every day if you like this format

How does it work?

I use electron to build this desktop app using HTML, CSS, and Javascript

Recording Screen Video using electron Desktop Capture

Video Processing Using FFmpeg and which was used in Devon Crawford Video

Save Timelapse Video in your PC

The desktop app will be available for beta testers in the next few days and I'm very excited to hear your feedback about it

Ps: I'll improve the quality of video in the next few days

Really interested in trying this out as I create screencasts for www.uecasts.com and have utilized Camtasia to do this previously.

Will your app's sole purpose by timelapse or general screen recording? Also can I modify the timelapse speed? Ex: If I record 1 hour of screen time can I decide if the outputted video is 30 seconds long, a minute long etc?

Great, Yes, that exactly what I'm building. The app will record your screen and after recording, you can choose the output video length. After that, the app will speed up the screen recorded video to get the output length

Awesome let me know when you release it and I'll try it out. I assume it will be cross platform since it runs on electron?

          Thank you so much

Great, Yes, it's will be a cross-platform desktop app but I need to test all main app functionality on the different operating system

I'm very excited to hear your feedback about it after you'll try it
