I'm building a tool to easily find (and activate) leads on Reddit

Why use Reddit for finding leads?

Reddit has over 500 million active users and is segmented into neatly defined communities (subreddits). This makes it incredibly easy to find people who are relevant to you who are actively posting about your competitors, pain points and so on.

So how does it work?

The idea is simple. You pick communities relevant to you, enter keywords (e.g. "tool for X", "Y alternative") and get notified once they are mentioned.

Doesn't this already exist?

Of course! There are tools such as Awario intended for brand monitoring and tools built by fellow indie hackers such as Howitzer, GummySearch and Syften (or even F5Bot) that do what I described above. I've tried them all, but felt they were all missing certain features that I want and need.

What I am building

Because of this, I've decided to build MentionFunnel where I will try to combine all the best parts of the tools mentioned above into the ultimate tool 🙌 I've made a landing page to try to show you guys my vision of what the MVP will look like, which you can see here: https://www.mentionfunnel.com/.

Please note the pricing is not set in stone at all. It's also missing certain features (and platforms such as Twitter) that I have in mind for the future, but as you know the MVP comes first 😄

TL;DR

MentionFunnel will allow you to

  • Target leads by communities (subreddits) and keyword mentions
  • Get notified when mentioned via email, Slack, Discord etc.
  • Reply to or DM leads from within the app
  • Use message templates and automations to streamline this

If this sounds at all interesting to you, then join the waiting list here: https://www.mentionfunnel.com/
Also, please let me know if you have any thoughts / feedback!

Cheers!
