I'm building a trading journal that shows you the exact dollar cost of your emotions. Waitlist is open (70% done)

I spent the last year building automation tools for prop firm traders. Volatility filters, rule enforcers, execution engines. The kind of systems that remove human error from trading entirely.

But I kept noticing something that automation could not fix.

Every client had a solid strategy. Most of them were still losing money consistently. Not because their setups were wrong. Because of what happened after a bad trade.

One client blew a $25K FTMO account last month. His system was profitable in backtests. But after two consecutive losses he revenge traded and wiped the entire account before London closed. The strategy did not fail him. He failed himself.

The frustrating part was that nobody could show him the actual dollar cost of that behavior. Not roughly. Exactly. His calm trades made him $3,380. His emotional trades cost him $1,240. He had no idea until it was too late.

Every journal out there tracks P&L. Nobody tracks the why behind the P&L.

That is the gap I am building BiasBin to fill.

What BiasBin does:

After every trade you log two things. How you felt: calm, FOMO, revenge, scared, greedy. And whether you followed your rules or broke them. Ten seconds. Mandatory, not optional like every other journal where nobody actually fills it in.

Over time BiasBin builds one number. Your emotions cost you $X this month. Not a chart you have to interpret. One dollar figure impossible to ignore, broken down by emotion.

Your FOMO trades cost you $340. Your revenge trades cost you $210. Your calm trades made you $1,100. Now you know exactly what to fix.

Where I am right now:

The core is about 70% done. Trade logging, emotion tagging, and the behavior cost dashboard are all built. I am finishing the analytics layer and doing final testing before launch.

I am opening the waitlist now because I want real traders involved before the final 30% is built. If you have opinions on what a trading journal should do in 2026, I genuinely want to hear them.

Why free:

TradeZella charges $49/month. Edgewonk charges $169 upfront and looks like a 2007 desktop app. The core of BiasBin: journal, emotion tags, behavior cost dashboard: will be free after signup. No credit card. No trial period. Paid Pro adds AI coaching, broker sync, and advanced analytics.

Who this is for:

Prop firm traders and retail traders who have a strategy that works sometimes but not consistently. Who suspect their emotions are costing them money but have never seen proof. Who have tried journaling before but quit because it felt like homework.

If that sounds like you or someone you know, the waitlist is open at biasbin.it.com

Would love any feedback from this community, on the idea, the positioning, or anything I might be missing.

Usman — "every journal tracks P&L, nobody tracks the why behind the P&L" is one of the sharpest product insights I've seen. That one line does all the selling.

Since you're asking for feedback: the waitlist model is your current conversion risk. People who sign up for a waitlist have a very short memory. The gap between waitlist signup and actual activation is where most of your early momentum will quietly die.

That's exactly the kind of funnel leak I audit. Happy to take a look if you want to protect what you're building.

Thanks for the kind words on the positioning. The waitlist retention point is real and something I am actively thinking about. I have got an email sequence planned to keep signups warm until launch. Appreciate the note.
