Hi IHs!
I'm building a simple app for organizing docs. Going well so far, so I put together a landing page describing the frustrations this idea was born from:
Does that resonate with you? Do you have similar experience?
(Of course, feel free to also AMA if you are interested in anything.)
Personally, I don't remember when I struggled to find a document, but I don't know why exactly. I wouldn't say that everything is super organised.
However, there were quite a few times when team members were not aware that some document or information exists.
Do you already have some idea how to solve the problem? Or you are trying to validate if the problem exists?
If you already have a vision of how your system would work and why it would be better to Google Drive, a short video (Dropbox style) might be more convincing.
Thanks for sharing your experience and opinions!
Good point with the team awareness. I think there are multiple different (yet similar) pain points when you rely on search only.
Regarding my approach — I think there is space for improvement in ease of use and encouragement of some healthy workflows. (Although it’s a crowded market of course.)
I have built a prototype to start testing whether it works for me, and at the same time I am looking further around to see what experiences and thoughts others have.
