I'm building free HTML/CSS/JS langing page templates for startups

Greetings guys,

Before you start reading, I want to apologize for my English, as I am not a native speaker.

So, it's been a few months since I registered on indiehackers and recently started actively spending time here.

I've been thinking about doing side projects that would generate passive income. About one of such projects I wanted to make an announcement here.

Couple days ago I started making Launchoice (https://launchoice.com) – is free HTML/CSS landing page templates for startups and I've seen similar cool projects on this site, so I decided to add something new to my project in order to stand out a little bit among others. To do this I added a simple admin panel, which will allow you to change the text data on the landing page very easily. There is also an advanced version that allows you to change images, move, clone and delete blocks. I make these templates using CSS framework UIkit. First I design them in Figma and then develop with UIkit.

You can use these templates for any project and absolutely free. At the moment I have added one template and will add another one very soon. I plan to add templates every one or two weeks.

I would be glad to hear your opinion.

P. S. Indiehackers is a very cool project and the guys here are one the same level. Thanks for all you're doing.

    Hey - nice landing page.

You might have heard of my old business: buildfaster.co. If you haven’t it’s a site where I, just like you are doing now, sold vanilla HTML and CSS templates for startups, newsletters, and designers.

I wanted to give you some advice.

BuildFaster.co, in my opinion, was a failure. Sure, it gave me some great knowledge of the ups and downs of starting an indiehacker business but I believe that I rushed into things too quick.

Here are some mistakes I made that stopped me from achieving what I set out to do from the beginning:

    • I did not establish any business model and did not have a set audience.
    • I did it all for quick money; not to help others and make their lives easier.
    • I didn’t even like my templates. Meaning that I could never find myself using them IRL. Aim to create a product that you yourself would use, then there’s a good chance there will be others who will use the same.

These are just some of the bumps I came across on my journey. I might make a post today more on this.

Best of wishes! The Indiehackers community has got your back!

Hey Brayden, thank you very much ;)

I love your project, but I think that you need to concentrate a little more on the details of the templates design. Although my design needs this advice too =)

Pretty good advices for me, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for your opinion and feedback. You've motivated me by your comment :)

Thanks - you got something that really differentiates you from the general crowd. You got this!

(thanks for the feedback btw, I have actually dropped it completely, but still find the advice you gave me useful. 👍)
