I'm engineer turned CTO building a Startup Studio and VC Fund in public. It's damn hard.

The last few months were a big emotional rollercoaster for me.

I think I finally felt what "momentum" means as things changed drastically.

People are skeptical and often demotivating when you make the first steps.

There are so many "experts" that will outline the dumbest potential issues with a smart face.

They will point to your every mistake and say "yes I said that".

Dude, I know potential issues and it's f*king scary for me to move.

But I know that I must move. Because otherwise I'm not a good leader. If I don't move I'm not a leader at all.

But there are few people who actually support your risky moves. For some reason, they just help you. You should deeply care about these people.

You don't need hundreds of supporters. The single person can make you unstoppable. But if you have 2-3-4 people who much into what you're doing you are blessed.

And I'm blessed now.

I appreciate the overwhelming support from the community I've built over the years. I don't take support for granted.

I went through some shit and today I developed a sharp values system.

And that's my type of people:
• they act
• they show quick results
• they genuinely help other people
• they want to create the best thing ever
• they fail. they suffer. they are underdogs. but they keep going

Deep respect to everyone of you who takes action and shares their knowledge.

I'm here to support every authentic builder. Because I know how tough the journey is.

My mission is to make open startups as common as open source 💥

it is! it beats doubts and fears

Best of luck on your journey! My experience has been similar. In a sea of doubt having just one person who believes in you is all it takes to find the motivation to keep going.

Thank you Aneesh! I'm feeling the importance of support more and more now!

Man, I totally agree with your value system. Support from one single person can mean the whole world to the one who is struggling. Wish we can all be blessed and bless others.

      Thank you so much!
Yes I'm starting to believe in positive energy more and more.

I thought it's spiritual but I found out that there's one top startup CEO coach (real deal, not that "coach") using the technique called "energy-check".

Using it you need to review your calendar regularly and see what meetings/people drain your energy and what meetings add it.

Some CEOs (eg. Brex) were so excited by it that they spread it all over the company.

What a coincidence! This is the very similar technique I use to maintain my energy level, especially in the downtime. I call it “Personal Audit”.

I keep tracking my days on calendar and categorize events into different colors. If I feel burned out, I will go check my recent weeks and compare them with the good times, and I will ask what changed. The reasons may vary. Sometime it’s because I work too much, too much social, or lock myself in the room too long. Once I identify the issue, I will go fix it ruthlessly. Whether it’s shutting down some projects, say goodbye to a toxic friend, or stop a hobby that is taking over too much time.

Great! There are few people who really care about what you do, and who could also help you. I wish you the best - and I will also follow you there & on Twitter :)
