I'm launching a No-AI plotting tool on Product Hunt today. Here's why I extended the free trial to 30 days.

Hi everyone, I'm Lina, a solo indie maker.

Today is a big day for me as I'm finally launching Gridance Studio on Product Hunt. It's a local-first, visual plotting tool designed specifically for screenwriters who want to stay away from the AI noise.

As I prepped for this launch, I made a gut-driven decision: I extended my free trial from 14 days to 30 days.

Why? Writing a script (especially a mystery or a complex TV series) takes time. I realized 14days wasn't enough for a writer to finish even a single act and truly see if my tool helps their workflow. I'd rather have a user fall in love with the process over a month than rush them into a purchase.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this:

  1. For a desktop productivity tool, do you think a 30-day trial is too long for conversion?
  2. Have any of you seen a significant change in CVR after extending a trial period?

I'll be hanging out in the comments all day while monitoring the PH launch. If you're a fellow writer or a privacy -forcused dev, I'd love to connect!
