🚀 I'm live on Product Hunt today with the dumbest website of all time

I got tired of my friends giving their kids boring names, so I built a website to help you find an epic name for your baby.

But why?

A year or so ago, there were a bunch of my friends and family having babies around the same time.

Everything about it was super exciting.

It was time to see people with who I'd done stupid things on many a day and night in the past become responsible for the life of another human being.

When the message finally came through announcing the arrival of their heir, it was incredibly heart warming.

Until they announced the name.

Boring.

Around the same time, I happened to be reading The Iliad and found myself completely unable to keep up with the onslaught of names Homer was reciting at me.

Then it occurred to me—there's so many epic names in here!

And so epicbabynames.com was born.

If you've got a second, I'd really appreciate any support on the launch ❤️ —https://www.producthunt.com/posts/epic-baby-names

Apologies in advance if your name is Michael or Samantha, or indeed if you are my friend or relative who is now questioning the name of your child (it's not you I'm referring you, I promise...).

    Really nice website lol

I am wondering if you will expand to other languages, like Brazilian portuguese.

I am also tired of seeing a bunch of new born “Enzos” here

Every country has it's super common or trendy names for sure!

Plenty of other markets and names to to branch into.

The idea is (if I ever work on it more) was to continue to add names for other forms of classical literature, so I don't see why that has to be limited to English-language literature.

    Awesome, Live design
