Hey everybody, I'm looking for a marketing cofounder.
I think I've got a compelling offer for this potential cofounder that will be interesting to someone who 1) values software made for couples AND 2) has a knack for guerrilla marketing.
My journaling app Twig has been hovering at $300/mo despite the new features I've added and marketing attempts I've made.
I've decided that this marketing role just isn't for me. The project either needs to be marketed effectively, or die.
So here's my offer. Join me as a cofounder. Take ALL of the monthly proceeds that exceed the current flatline of $300/mo. Once we crest $1k/mo (you'll be making $700/mo at this point), we'll start sharing the excess equally. So... at $2k/mo, it'd be $800/mo for me, $1200/mo for you.
If you know anyone that has an ounce of a case study of growing a consumer-facing iPhone app, please put them in touch.
I'd love to chat. trent [at] hey [dot] com
Interesting proposition. Where can I learn more about your app?
this is the app store version: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/twig-journal-for-couples/id1453545808
I am sending you an email, Trent!
Great proposition dude. I'm not super educated on this approach, but have you considered outsourcing it to a freelancer? I'm not going to link any tools / guides, because I understand you're not looking to execute the tactics yourself.
I haven't considered the freelancer approach, no. I've worked with freelancers on a number of different projects, though (and been one myself) and I think aligning someone with my own goals is better.
For long-term, yes I agree that goal alignment will help you get the job done + boost your morale. Plenty of options available for short-term as well: hiring interns, finding freelancers, etc.
Just applied. Looking forward for response from your side.
Appreciate it! Reaching back out to everyone with more info in the coming days.
That's good to know.
