I'm offering free marketing until Friday | let's gooo

UPDATE: Swamped with requests. Hopefully I can help the first founders out and do something similar again here soon. Have a great weekend, all!

I've been putting marketing packages together that combine new AI tools with my go-to templates to replace the need for hiring a marketing agency.

Agencies are good at exploding your growth. I want to help people get from 0 to 1. No need to pay oodles for that, you just need a solid foundation.

So ya, I'm wanting to test whether these packages are helpful before offering them to my current clients.

I'm going to help out however many peeps I can from now until EOD Friday (first come first serve).

In return, I would like feedback, and if I was helpful, a future referral.

Background -
Here's my marketing biz: Fletch Marketing
Here's the app I built: Econus

Needs -

  • Must already be launched and are trying to get from 0 to 1
  • You are marketing your business, but feel all over the place
  • Include your name, website, and a quick paragraph (150 words tops) about what marketing you've tried to this point

Hey this is awesome! Would love to be part of this!

I'm Khal, building codelessapi.io, a no-code builder to build Workflows, APIs and Forms!

You can connect your data source (Google Sheets, Airtable, Coda, Notion, JSON, ...), drag and drop diferent operations on it and have your workflow or API ready in minutes!

I've been writing blog posts and posting on twitter. SEO has started to increase recently, but still has a long way to go for sure.

    1. 1

Hey Khal! I just ran a side audit for ya and have a few questions.

Let's either schedule a time to chat via my Calendly ( https://calendly.com/fletch-marketing), or you can shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll send the questions /audit there

      1. 1

Thanks Econus! Just sent an email :)

        1. 1

Just emailed ya back. Let's just hop on a call, easier that way.

      Hey Louna!

I was helping a few companies with their marketing via back and forth emails but it was super tedious. So, let's just schedule a :30 minute call for next week and go through everything.

      https://calendly.com/fletch-marketing/a-chat-with-fletch

Book sooner than later so I can make sure to spend some time researching your company well before we meet up.

      Chat soon!

https://Just-Sell.online (sorry page currently only in German language) -
but "https://gastro.just-sell.online/gastro_en" is a niche we try to build (same shop software, optimized for food ordering) and it's available in english language.

We do provide KI-Based online shops where the user don't need to mind about maintenance or hidden costs.

We currently have 6 satisfied customers, while 3 of them come from satisfied customer who recommend us to others.

1 Customer comes from FB-Advertising. We are not sure which next steps to take to start our marketing in a solid way.

    1. 1

      Hey!

With your just-sell website, it's not very clear what you do. You make it easy to sell online I guess, but how do you do that better than say Shopify?

Your second website on the other hand is definitely heading in the right direction for marketing. You help restaurants get their businesses online. Simple enough.

My recommendation would be to focus on this site and start super local. Do some Google searches to see which businesses don't have an online presence then go get in contact with them and get them online. Then start spreading out from there. If your service is good, word will spread.

      1. 1

        Hey @econus,
thanks for your response. I know that the first page isn't really good.

It was a suggestion of someone not to only list the features of a software, but help people to understand that we help to make it easy to get online with an own online shop.
But fair enough, I also think the information in this page are not fully showing what that means at least.

I'll follow your advice and start with the gastro-pages to see if there are any responses. In the meantime I can optimize the "general shops" page to give more input what customers can expect from us, and how the online shop look like (e.g. videos)

Thank you very much for helping people with this initiative. I'm Harshdip, building Eztrackr. We're 3 co-founders.

Position: We launched 2 months ago. Retention is ~40% at week 4.

Eztrackr is a job hunt organization tool - An intuitive platform and a Chrome extension that reads the jobs as you apply them and saves them in a Kanban board for you. You can track them, and add contacts, documents, notes, and more.
It's a step up from spreadsheets and makes job tracking as easy as possible. We're soon integrating AI features to help you write application questions like "Why do you want to work here?" etc. and more.

    https://eztrackr.app

We're all over the place for marketing - we see a need for the product, and retention is fantastic, but still struggling to market it consistently. We sometimes post on Reddit and see a huge boost in sign-ups, but that's not an ideal solution. Thinking about LinkedIn since most job seekers are there. We believe our need for marketing is to educate users properly on what this product is and why it's useful effectively.

    1. 1

      Hey Harshdip,

      Clever idea :)

I was helping a few companies with their marketing via back and forth emails but it was super tedious. So, let's just schedule a :30 minute call for next week and go through everything.

    Hey!
    I am Shawn, building https://www.supawaldo.co.
In short - supawaldo is a photo sharing platform powered with face-recognition.

We have launched and we do feel all over the place and could really use some fresh ideas from a marketing point of view :D

By now we have tried outbound reach to photographers to no avail, and we focus a bit on SEO at the moment

    1. 2

I'd say double down on some heavy SEO while adding value to some photography focused, reddit communities!

      Its a marathon :)

      1. 1

Yeah, I guess you are right... I just got around to SEO, wish me luck!

        1. 2

Ill be high-fiving you all the way!

    2. 1

Just launched feevoty[dot] com0. It's a feedback collecting SAAS specially help the B2B startup to understand their customer, what they want and build product according to their feedback and Wishlist. It is just a landing page and currently building the actual product.

  8. 1

Launched https://www.investorradar.io/ and have been all over the place in marketing it. It helps connect startups with Venture Capital firms and more in order to get them funding. Have been using a mix of twitter, indiehackers, and reddit but dont have an established base on any one of them.

  9. 1

Launched https://collecta.space a while ago (collection tool for design inspiration, shifting focus toward something like mymind.com), but lost all traction after introducing the paid plan. I talk more about it here https://www.indiehackers.com/product/collecta/4k-traction-that-lead-to-274-and-a-dead-product--N_u90B5wIyAQsI4sKW2.

A lot of traction was gained from posting the website on landing pages catalogues (where designers hang out a lot). Majority of the mailing list came from there and betalist.com. Thing is, I've no idea what marketing is required to get this going further.

    Would appreciate any thoughts!

  10. 1

    Thanks a lot ! I love it !

I can't post link, I think my profile is too basic :(

    1. 1

      do you have twitter ?

      1. 1

I have one. Don't really use it though.

  11. 1

Hi Scott, We are launching Graphweaver a software product used as a CMS or API Gateway. We have tried reddit, guest posting and hackernews. We are looking at other options we could try.

    Hi,

I'm Eric, the creator of https://sherpa-map.com

I've found it incredibly hard to break into the marketing area. We offer the site, a cycling route generation/creation site, including AI road surface classification, forecasted weather data along the route, and so much more, completely for free.

It's been a challenge to get users, rank up on Google, etc. any help would be useful!

kudos on your initiative with AI tools and marketing packages; it sounds like a game-changer for startups on the cusp of growth!

    Name: Naveen
    Website: Calmmind.ai
Marketing Efforts: I've been actively working on Calmmind.ai, an AI-driven mental wellness platform. To spread the word and get those initial sign-ups, I took to Twitter and engaged in consistent posting and reaching out. While I believed it to be a promising avenue, the results haven't been as fruitful as anticipated. There's a myriad of strategies out there, and sometimes, it feels a bit overwhelming to pinpoint the right one.

I'm eager to see how your packages could influence Calmmind's trajectory, and I promise insightful feedback in return!

    1. 1

      Hey Naveen,

Thank you very much for helping people like me. I am Raman and have started a newsletter which speaks about the culture, traditions, literature of India through comics.
    https://www.tritattva.com/
Currently, I am posting my content on Twitter for marketing.

    1. 1

Hey Raman! Not gonna lie, I don't think I'd be a great match for this project. I'm quite unfamiliar with your demo and building newsletters isn't my strongest skillset.

One piece of advice I can give though is to focus on what you know and do that very well. So if you've validated some sort of audience and are a resource for the topic at hand, just keep on keeping on!

      1. 1

Thanks for the reply and the advice.

  17. 1

Oh this is great! I am building a free community hub for remote workers where we can talk and explore about jobs and AI tools available. I am thinking if you can share it with the group, it's still a small group, but hopefully we can grow it soon..

    Here's the link if you're interested: https://join.slack.com/share/enQtNTc5NDI0NDE2NzY1MC05MzU5NDJkMGI2OWJmZGEwNjA1MDc1NGVlNGE1ZTJlMDlkYWY5N2VkMjkwNmIxNDA0OGI1OGI5ZGM0N2FlNTY0

    1. 1

I don't think there will be much value I can add here except, but if it turns into more than a slack community, let me know!

      1. 1

Yes, it's more than just a slack community as that will also be our pool of resources for our employee-owned company. We are currently looking into AI tool founders who can educate the community so they have a better idea, and use it eventually, and experts in the field of remote working who can be the founding members of the company

  18. 1

    Nice Idea @econus

Hope it works out for you.

We should take a similar approach :)

    1. 1

Do it. Then let's compare notes in a few months and potentially take over the marketing world together? ;)

  19. 1

    Hello! Great idea :-)

I'm Helghardt, building lampbuilder.com, an AI landing page generator for startups.

We started with two marketing strategies: 1] product launch and 2] content marketing

    Product launches

    • So far we launched on Producthunt, Hackernews, and Indiehacker. Hackernews produced the best results. You can see the spike on our metric page: https://lampbuilder.com/metrics

    Content marketing

    • I started a newsletter earlier this week to discuss the topic of how AI plays a role in founding a startup. The goal is twofold: establish ourselves as thought leaders in the intersection between AI and starting startups, but also get exposure for lampbuilder.
    • So far I have posted 3 articles this week and cross-posted on Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Facebook groups.

Would love to hear your take.

    1. 1

      Hey Helghardt,

I was helping a few companies with their marketing via back and forth emails but it was super tedious. So, let's just schedule a :30 minute call for next week and go through everything.

      https://calendly.com/fletch-marketing/a-chat-with-fletch

Book sooner than later so I can make sure to spend some time researching your company well before we meet up.

      Cheers,
      Scott

      1. 1

@helghardt I just checked out Lamp Builder. I love it. I actually think it would help 50% of the founders I had calls with today. Let's definitely hop on a call and chat, here's the link again: https://calendly.com/fletch-marketing/a-chat-with-fletch

        1. 1

Hi Scott, thanks for the follow up! I have scheduled a slot for Monday. Unfortunately, this week has been a bit slammed. Looking forward to chat.

  20. 1

This is awesome Scott! I would love to join in and glean anything I can from your process!

My name is Andrew and my product efficalc (efficalc.com) is a calculation tool for engineers trying to replace a bad excel workflow that's engrained in the engineering industry. There is a similar tool on github that has over 5k stars but my site is a big improvement. Would love to try and attract some of those users. I've tried

    • social media posts (my network includes engineers)
    • reddit posting/lurking
    • engineered marketing tools (related tools linking back to the main site)
    • I'm planning to try my hand at blogging and even cold emails.

If you would prefer, I also have a younger app that is launched but I haven't marketed much yet. It's a flashcard web app (learningroo.com) that uses AI to generate cards from your existing learning content.

    1. 2

      Hey Andrew,

I was helping a few companies with their marketing via back and forth emails but it was super tedious. Especially with you already having a game plan, I don't want to miss something and have back-and-forths via email. So, let's just schedule a :30 minute call for next week and go through everything.

      https://calendly.com/fletch-marketing/a-chat-with-fletch

Book sooner than later so I can make sure to spend some time researching your company well before we meet up.

      Cheers,
      Scott

      1. 1

Thank you Scott! I appreciate it. I scheduled a slot for Wednesday.

What inspired you to create this product? If it was something you saw demand for online, start getting super active in those communities!
