I'm putting together a list of Independent Researchers, who should I add?

Some examples of people I'll probably include are (Anne-Laure Le Cunff, Dru Riley, Conor White-Sullivan, and James Clear.

However, I want to have a mix of people who are somewhat known along with folks that don't really have a following at all.

If you're writing in public about topics you find interesting, consider yourself qualified 😄. Feel free to drop your handle below and I'll add you to the list.

    Hi @dkh,

I'll recommend myself (I write a lot about technical writing, communication for developers, and similar topics; much of my blog is the result of learning in public), but there are a few others I'd add to this list:

    • Nadia Eghbal: best known for her research on open source communities
    • Patrick McKenzie: aka patio11, well respected for his knowledge of marketing and startups and teaching that to developers
    • Julia Evans: creator of the Wizard Zines. She writes detailed zines about various technical concepts, ranging from bash to Linux to Kubernetes and Git. She is widely respected in the larger tech community as a result of her approach to learning in public.

    Thank you!
