Hey, I've just joined indiehackers and I'm really glad because I felt I needed a little support with my project and I'm excited to be a part of a community so this is really cool.
Anyhow! I'd love to meet people so drop what you're working on in the comments and I'll give you a bunch of feedback or vote for anything or whatever you need.
Startups are hard so just keep going and the perseverance will be worth it.

I absolutely love the design of this site. The colors work so well and it kinda gives me like an old newspaper feel, which very much suits investing!
I think the bread crumbs are lacking a link, such as:
United States ▻ Technology, It'd be nice to have these as links for easy navigation.
Also, the pages are really long! Not that it's a problem, but it'd be nice to have the top nav bar show up when we scroll up. That way we don't have to scroll to the top, we can just scroll once and the top nav will be there.

Very beautiful website. One comment said something about what “tea leaves” was and I think some annotations to the side of it can let people know what it is.

At the moment I do not. I'm not much of a programmer/coder but I understand it, like with simple php/html/css but not fluent. I'm more of a creative director to really bring people to products and handle the innovative ideas. I can think them, but can't code them to life lol.

ok so notes on happiness is free ...
-> Header/Subheader need work. header: pique interest, from readers perspective. subheader: answer the piqued interest. something like header:"looking for a healthier happier you?" subheader:"down the free ebook loved by 93% of Americans". That's kinda pants but you get the idea.
-> Your CTA needs to be far clearer. There's a book and a course and there's a multiple buy button section which I can't tell is for which. Is the book paid or free? I feel like the ebook should be on a single page with its own CTA's and the course should be on a single page with its own CTA's
-> Buy section: perhaps two options, buy one book/course vs buy all book/courses - with a price if you're selling and an email box & download now if you're not
-> I'm not sure if you need a disclaimer to say you're not affiliated in any way with Jacqueline Way
-> the page overall is very sparse. needs about 3-4x more text for how many sections you have. either that or condense it all to sit above the fold.
-> not sure how I feel about the arimo/work sans (logo) font pairing. And you use proxima for happydrip.teachable.com. Might be best to keep colours/fonts/branding consistent. I'm sure you know but you're missing a favicon too.
-> the whole time im reading the page I think: what's in it for me? like, why do I need to be happy? and what about this book is going to get me there? Honestly, I'm kinda miserable and grumpy a lot and I'm actually quite content being that way. Is this aimed at people with depression? I'm not sure I'd quite have the energy to read/go through a course in the midst of a depressive episode; an audio narration might be better if thats your target audience.
-> I had a little research and I found this landing page by foundr (from way back in 2016!) and I think it still looks great today https://storage.googleapis.com/website-production/uploads/2016/10/ebook-landing-page-foundr.png might be an idea to model that. I think foundr's design and branding for everything is pretty much 10/10 - even something 3 years old from them still looks great.
-> overall, I think the issue is down to the fact that you've used a normal site template when usually the layout is different for ebook landing pages. Maybe have a look at others and model one you like. (google: "best ebook landing pages")
I see. Regarding reddit, you might need to create several posts first and have engagement before showcasing your product in a subreddit. Most subreddits also have custom rules as well, so you might need to check them first. Sorry though.

Regarding the buy button, my bad. It's not supposed to be there. It's a free product. I'll have it removed.
The thing is, the ebook and the course kind of go hand in hand, having the same title (hence on the same page). They have identical chapters as well. Book - 5, Course - 3

The whole "why" is summarized here https://happinessisfree.life/#about and it the main section as well. The primary target is people who outsource/seek happiness.
Depression is on another level though as it's more of a mental health issue and lack of emotion/will. Nevertheless, this book/course would be of good use. I might need a more tailored help guide for people who are depressed. And yes audio narration is def the best use case for this scenario.
Thanks for the foundr image: I think' I'll adopt foundr's style of having "what you'll learn" a bulleted list.

I took a look at your website, pretty neat idea. A couple of things I want to you point comes in terms of the UI. The logo at the top is getting get off in mobile, the search bar foes edge to edge on the screen, even the text goes edge to edge on the mobile screen. I would ass some margin to those paragraphs and search bar. Also, I would look into add more color to the site, it looks very stale and can possibly push away a potential customer. The last feedback I have would be maybe breaking down the paragraphs, making them short and sweet. I’m not completely sure who your target audience is but I believe the quicker you can educate a user on your product the quicker they can use your service. Other than that not a bad idea at all.

Honestly, planshare.co, the whole landing page needs to be re-done from scratch, I think the model needs to be redone and generally I hate the whole idea for the business/product.

Also, I get hestia is a commonly used theme but that doesn't mean its good. Web design changes every 6 months or so and hestia is 2 years old.
Business Model
It appears as though you're trying to pitch to people who have a subscription to, what, share their login details with you for some money off? You have to bear in mind these people have already signed up to a £10 a month service so they're happy paying that. What are you doing to get people to share this cost? Surely your whole service works better if you pay for all the subs and split it out as a micro-service so your landing page would be aiming at people who want netflix but dont want to pay £10/month
The idea
I think the general idea is a bit scammy and questionable as a business. Most companies will have T&C's that say you can't share sub's and I think businesses generally rely on pricing their services around 1 user and 1 user's typical habits so you're kinda gaming their pricing to the detriment of these companies. Eventually that will feed through into the pricing for other customers.
I guess I need to do some work in better explaining this on the site.

In terms of scammy, we are not asking for users credentials at all, our service only applies to subscriptions that offer subs... so a model like YouTube TV’s model... where 1 person signs up and can create 5 separate account for 5 other people. What we do is we give the person who already has a YouTube tv sub(paying $50+ a month) 5 email addresses to add to their account from there they get paid a certain amount for each active user in those accounts thus lowering that $50 they are paying monthly
read the youtube tv terms of service. the important part is on this page https://support.google.com/youtubetv/answer/7251139?hl=en and quite clearly says "Live in the same household as the family manager"
I haven't checked but I'm sure its the same story with spotify/netflix/hulu. If you're doing it with services that you're allowed to split then that's fair enough but it doesn't look like you are.
You must have better ideas for a business than this? Hit me with some others I'll help validate them.

i LOVE deprocrastination. It's the whole concept of the time management on the iPhone but for the desktop which is just a gem.
The "header" and "subheader" are literally perfect, your header piques interest and the subheader answers it. The font, doodles, everything is literally great.
I also love that you're owning the word "procrastination" which is perfect for your product.
Personally, I don't really get distracted on my desktop because it wasn't really gamified in any way, it's usually my mobile that's a distraction so I don't feel like it's something for me but i can definitely see a lot of people loving this.
I had a look on the ext store and found a couple of similar apps, one with 1.4m users and the other with 144k users. Downloaded yours and both of theirs.
I went through your blog which I assume you're writing to get sharable content/increase backlinks/get found on google.
Some SEO tips which maybe you already know. Just taking one of your articles as an example:
"3 tricks Ernest Hemingway used to avoid procrastinating"
Title (shorter), meta (missing), alt tags (missing/non-descriptive) on that page need work and it really needs to be 2-3x longer.
I'd rephrase the title to:
"How to stop procrastinating: 3 tricks Ernest Hemingway used"
-> "stop procrastinating" is searched a lot more than "avoid procrastinating" and keywords nearer the beginning helps a bit more
Pedantic note also: "How to take an effective break (and more productive)" missing "be"

Rename "blog" to "tips" maybe? I almost didn't click because I thought it was a blog about how the company is doing as opposed to something useful for me.

omg that loud ding 🤣not sure I'm a fan of that as a default setting - nearly fell off my chair. Also I see you're updating the icon to a timer when I'm in timer mode, how difficult would it be to get that to actually dial down as a timer instead of just being static - small detail but I think people would really like this. (I personally love how the clock app on my iPhone screen is live).

-> there's a "createExt" as the page slug which you probably already know.
-> "Focus Zones" is a bigger benefit than "some analytics about my focusing so I feel like that should go to the top but you'll probably need to test the content/buttons here a lot anyway
Just an idea for the product and it may be really stupid - you know these notifications that websites are adding nowadays, I don't know if there's a way to incorporate that into your product and maybe have it as part of the paid feature. 1. you'd silence all the notifications and 2. you'd collate them into a single notification bar or something like that? I don't actually have any of these website notifications on so I don't really know how they work

Tip: the best thing to do to avoid distractions on your phone is to A) remove most time wasting apps and B) keep phone out of sight, hearing, and reach when you want to focus (we call this the rule of 3 senses).
