So I finally decided to make my app public. Starting this week. I'll be building it in public to gather feedback and create an audience. I even created a video showing a small demo that I'll be uploading to YouTube. This will probably happen Thursday or Friday.
I'm a very calm person but I'm fucking nervous now. Here's when it truly begins...Wow!
Good luck! Don't worry, you will get used to having things out there. It gets easier to deal with as you go.
Plus, scared money don't make money! 😂
Thanks for the support! I hope my money doesn't get too scared haha!
Good luck!
I say this in the best way possible: no one cares about your project as much as you do. There's really nothing to lose developing publicly and everything to gain.
I'm looking forward to seeing the app!
Thanks! will reveal Thu or Fri!
Hey @jdelva, good luck! I know it can be scary time.
One thing that can help you to reveal your idea in a good light is my website, SplashPad (https://getsplashpad.com). SplashPad helps you promote your product more effectively by suggesting marketing language that attracts attention and sells. Good luck!
I know what you mean. Putting your work out there is scary.
One thing I've found helpful is to think of fear as a good emotion. It's trying to tell you that you're about to do something that will cause you to leave your comfort zone...
In other words 'you're about to grow a lot' -- so just keep moving forward even though it's scary and you'll be fine.
What's the URL?
I'll reveal it Thu/Fri here in IH and through my blog and Twitter. Not yet an official website but it's being worked out :)
Don't be nervous! Best of luck :)
Good luck! I even made my roadmap publicly because ideas are worthless without execution ;)
Good luck!
Good luck! Look forward to seeing it progress.
Hey! That's very scary indeed. I did this exact thing 2 weeks ago, with a video and all. I learned more in the past two weed for https://midnight.pub than in the last few month. Congrats on taking this big step. :)
you got this!
Building publicly has been one of the best experiences on my indie hacker journey. I ultimately had to cancel the project but it was amazing to interact with potential users on a near-daily basis. Keep it up, only good things can come from it!
You can do it! I was in your shoes 2 months ago but it wasn't so scary in the end. Good luck with it!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot to all who have answered to this post! You all have given me more confidence to do it. Really really thank you!
